| The Museum Of History In Granite is the curious (and very unfinished) effort to immortalize important milestones in the history of humanity. Essential knowledge is literally etched in stone for future generations -- "Literacy For Millenia" as its mission proclaims (in granite, naturally). In addition to the basics of science, philosophy, politics, food, and more, there are some seemingly out of place histories: the Korean War (and no others) get one whole set of tablets, and the history of French aerospace achievements another. Regardless, a fascinating monument, even with its inside museums and church closed and no staff or visitors other than us. |
